The VR project “Flourishing Gusu Painting” revitalizes Xu Yang’s iconic Qing Dynasty scroll through immersive digital technology. Stepping into the virtual world, viewers find themselves wandering through the ancient city. boats gliding along the Grand Canal, merchants hawking in bustling streets, and iconic white-walled, black-tiled architecture unfolding around them. Over 12,000 figures, 200 bridges, and 400 vessels depicted in the painting are reanimated in digital space. This is not merely a visual spectacle but a transcendent cultural journey, allowing the vibrant prosperity of historic Suzhou to glow once again through the interplay of heritage and innovation.
